Ingrid’s Journey to Courage

Ingrid’s Journey to Courage is a wonderful story about a little squirrel with big emotions. She learns that being courageous doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid or you don’t worry. It means being you, learning what helps you move forward in your own journey. This book is intended to help children learn that they are capable even during times anxiety or worry. The hope is that they will learn to lean on friends when they need to, and their friends will learn how to support their friends during times of worry or anxiety. With the help of her friends and some simple coping mechanisms (superpowers), Ingrid discovers that courage can begin with one small step.

A whimsical stack of colorful children’s books topped with a sleek, deep-indigo hardcover adult novel, all rendered in playful digital art. The books rest on a wooden table whose surface is etched with faint, swirling doodles that hint at characters and imaginary worlds. Around the stack float tiny, glowing icons of hearts, open doors, and thought bubbles, symbolizing mental health themes and emotional journeys. Soft, warm lamplight from the upper left casts gentle highlights along the book spines, while the background fades into a dreamy, blurred library of shelves and starry shapes. The mood is inviting and curious, with an eye-level composition and a slight vignette, perfect as a universal visual for an author’s storytelling hub spanning kidlit and adult fiction.
